Our Handcrafted Woodland Escape
The Toad Hideout is a bit special to us. We built it ourselves, using timber grown, felled and milled right here in our woodland. From the larch cladding to the ash interior, so much of it has come from the trees surrounding you.
Tucked away amongst the woods with its living roof, cosy wood burner and quirky toad-inspired details, it’s a place we’ve poured a huge amount of time and love into creating. Somewhere to shut the door on everyday life, light the fire and enjoy having the woods around you.

Try Out Our Unique Experiences
Here at Tree Tops and Train Tracks, we offer an eco, treetop camping experience using ‘Tentsile’ tent technology. This is a new, unique and completely innovative experience for the area, with only 4 other similar sites across the whole of the UK.
The tree tents will offer an opportunity to camp in the tree canopy and observe nature from a different angle. The tents are all strapped to the trees and therefore do not cause any damage and furthermore, reduce the impact on the ground below.

With six lovely camping pitches to choose from, each having their own unique space and sharing a large communal area for firepit access, this is a one off special experience immersed in nature.
We have 1 small pitch, three medium and two large pitches, which are perfect for families or groups of friends.

Top Notch Facilities
Our facilities are built on the old trainline that runs through Tree Tops and Train Tracks. It provides two urinals, two washing up sinks and three generous rooms, each with a lovely hot shower, a compost toilet and a sink with soap provided.
We Also have a large undercover timber frame to sit, relax and play games in. This allows you, come rain or shine, to enjoy your surroundings in our stunning ancient woodland.
